HI-TECH Gaming Laptops – How Much Gaming Power Fits in a Laptop Bag?

An excellent Gaming PC isn’t always the best choice for every gamer or every situation. Sometimes, a powerful gaming laptop simply meets your performance needs better.

Twenty years ago, a laptop was largely considered unsuitable for serious gaming. However, technology evolves along an exponential curve. Today, even relatively affordable gaming laptops can compete with many Gaming Desktop Setups. This might not apply to every new game, graphics setting, or FPS requirement, but we have assembled some powerful devices for you.

Of course, you can always take advantage of our gaming laptop consultation to find out if it’s the right choice for your needs.

What are the advantages of a gaming laptop?

A desktop PC undeniably has some advantages over one gaming laptop. Nevertheless, notebooks have a few points for themselves record:

  • You can transport a gaming laptop more easily - the size and weight are smaller.
  • With a gaming notebook you can set up your gaming setup anywhere.
  • With a notebook you can do without some peripheral devices (e.g. camera, screen or keyboard).

In addition to these obvious pluses for a gaming laptop, it is also possible to use docking stations to simultaneously enjoy some of the advantages of a desktop device, such as larger screens or gaming keyboards. Buying a gaming laptop is not just limited to a mobile gaming experience.

Criteria for Choosing Gaming Laptops

GPU

The graphics card (GPU) plays a crucial role when selecting a gaming laptop. In 2024, we primarily use graphics cards from the GeForce RTX 4000 series, which allow for Full HD resolution or higher.

A key factor is the TGP rating (Total Graphics Power) of the graphics card, which indicates the maximum thermal power dissipation. A higher TGP means more performance, but also higher power consumption. Additionally, the choice of GPU should depend on the desired screen resolution.

Screen Resolution of Your Gaming Laptop

Screen resolution is essential for the gaming experience. The higher the resolution, the more detailed the game visuals. We offer options like Full HD and QHD. Especially with larger displays of 17.3 inches, which we typically build, a particularly good resolution is crucial.

Processor

The processor (CPU) is the heart of the laptop and should be powerful. Four processor cores are sufficient, but six or more cores are ideal. Processors with an "H" in their name stand for High Performance and offer higher thermal design power (TDP). Common models come from AMD Ryzen and Intel Core.

Note: We are happy to advise you on the configurability and upgrade options for processors.

RAM

For gaming laptops, you have various options, typically between 16 GB and 64 GB.

Notebook cooling

High cooling performance is essential for gaming laptops. For this reason, we offer a suitable cooling pad right away.

Gaming Laptop Design

As with our desktop gaming PCs, we also pay close attention to distinctive design in our laptops.
